Thirsty Merlion is a website about alcoholic drinks. There, we said it. But seriously it's more a journal of us sharing our reviews and experiences enjoying these beverages. We hope readers can benefit from knowing more about these drinks and join us in appreciating them beyond just getting drunk.
who are the guys behind thirsty merlion?
Alvin Teo
Alvin is an experienced marketer and the Director of MagiQuestions Consulting, a boutique marketing consultancy specialising in new and social media marketing solutions and MQ Studios; a branded entertainment and video production outfit. His favorite type of beer are unfiltered craft IPAs, but he does indulge in a few ciders every now and then when he feels fruity. Being a certified mixologist (a.k.a. "bartender") from Barmasters Bar Tending School, he also enjoys mixing up a few cocktails every now and then, with whiskey as the preferred spirit. Wesley Gunter
As the owner and director of boutique PR agency Right Hook Communications, Wesley loves nothing more than telling stories over a beer, wine or whisky or all three. His love for spirits blossomed in his early PR days when he handled an array of alcohol clients ranging from wines like Cape Mantelle and Terrazas to fine spirits and champagnes like Hennessy, Glenmorangie, Belvedere Vodka and Dom Perignon. A foodie at heart, Wesley loves experimenting with unconventional alcohol pairings such as whisky and Indian rojak (true story) and his guilty pleasure currently is binge watching Netflix over a single malt whisky. |
Derrick Chan
Derrick is the founder of Oceanus Cleaning, a commercial cleaning services company. His past work experiences include being in the Oil & Gas industry, and never did he ever think he would go into blogging. He simply loves to drink beer, read, and sometimes write about goose-bumping inspirational stuff, hence how better to channel this preferred passion than to start a blog on the cult on beer? His favorite brew is a bottle of ice-cold Kirin beer that is poured into a small glass cup and sipped appreciatively and secondary to that would be a bottle of ice–cold Sapporo beer and anything that is home-brewed wherein the character of the individual brewer could be felt inside the crafted beverage!!! |
