(Note: this isn't a sponsored coverage. We spent our own money on booze here and really liked this gem of a place alot and just wanted to share, lah)
Picture this: It's Monday morning, 2 self-determined blokes were not ready to let the blues hit them, so give the week a good start, they went on hunt for the cheapest booze within the proximity of Clarke Quay. We found sQue, a renowned rotisserie and alehouse located alongside The Central with a grand view of the Singapore River, and proudly boasts more than 200 beers and a wide range of food. One obvious grandeur of sQue is it has merely 2 not-so-Happy Hours from 07:00 pm to 09:00 pm daily, however the rest of its opening breath are HAPPY HOURs! As we did not have time to explore most of its menus - still you may do so by checking out the photos below - so we went with Singha, the familiar Euro Pale Lager of German-Thai origin that is fixed at 5%, and selling at $14.80 for 2 pints! And what is more brilliant about sQue is Service Charge is permissible to the extent that a customer is sober enough and willing, and GST is all that is above the total bill. And by the way, do check out the photos below: our ice cold condensed Singha chillaxing against the morning sun - a fitful vitamin to heal the Monday blues, and surely a morale booster for the day and the long week ahead, and Ah ~ ~~ letting its soothing carbonated goodness wake the sleeping giants in us, or the laughing happy giants to be exact ;)
sQue is located at 6 Eu Tong Sen Street, The Central #01- 70, Singapore 059817 27. Nearest MRT is Clarke Quay.
Operating Hours: Mondays to Thursdays - 11.30am to 12midnight Fridays, Saturdays & Eve of Public Holidays - 11.30am to 1am Sundays - 11.30am to 11pm |
